Autor : Jaramillo Peña, Nicole Belén
Resumen : This study aims to develop a proposal for the implementation of a traveling ethnographic exhibition focused on the Ecuadorian coast in the city of Guayaquil. The initiative seeks to contribute to strengthening cultural tourism by fostering greater recognition of the region's identity and cultural heritage. The exhibition will present diverse cultural expressions of coastal communities, including gastronomy, music, traditional dances, crafts, clothing, festivities, and customs. A mixed-methods approach is used, combining qualitative and quantitative techniques to examine the perceptions, preferences, and level of interest of both local residents and visitors. Based on the information gathered, the study proposes a traveling exhibition that incorporates museographic, audiovisual, and interactive resources to provide an educational, participatory, and accessible experience. Through this proposal, the research seeks to contribute to the diversification of Guayaquil's tourism offerings and promote greater awareness and appreciation of the cultural heritage of the Ecuadorian coast.

Resumen : main objective of this study is to design a proposal to make better use of the three most representative recreational spaces in the Vinces canton: Cristo Redentor Thematic Park, the Eiffel Tower of “París Chiquito,” and the Agua Dulce Recreational Resort. First, the current situation of each site is reviewed, including its location, the person responsible for maintaining each recreational space, and an investigation into what makes each site unique. Surveys conducted with residents of Vinces and visitors to the canton are then analyzed in order to understand their opinions, preferences, and the aspects they believe require attention. The results indicate that most people are familiar with these sites and value them. However, they also recognize that the recreational spaces require maintenance of all their facilities, as well as better signage and increased security. It was also found that most of the information people have about these places has been passed on by family and friends, highlighting the need to promote them more broadly. Based on this information, a proposal is developed and divided into three parts: physically improving each space and providing basic services; promoting them more effectively by taking advantage of the name “París Chiquito,” which identifies the canton; and encouraging the local community to participate in the preservation, activities, and benefits associated with tourism. The proposal does not seek to build expensive infrastructure, but rather to enhance what already exists, maintain it properly, promote it, and achieve these goals through collective community involvement..

Resumen : The Cerro Blanco Protected Forest is located in the city of Guayaquil and represents one of the areas where part of the tropical dry forest of the Ecuadorian coast is still preserved. The area initially belonged to the Cemento Nacional company and was declared a Protected Forest in 1989. Since 1992, the Pro-Bosque Foundation has been responsible for managing the Cerro Blanco Protected Forest and promoting actions aimed at conservation, restoration, research, environmental education, and ecotourism. The area covers approximately 6,078 hectares and is characterized by its great diversity of flora and fauna, including endemic and threatened species. It is located in the Chongón-Colonche mountain range and has a tropical dry climate, with temperatures ranging from 24 to 30 °C.. Its conservation is important because of the environmental benefits it provides, including carbon capture, climate regulation, and soil protection. Different activities are carried out in the area, including hiking, birdwatching, nature photography, camping, among others. Although these activities allow visitors to enjoy and learn about the natural environment, they need to be properly managed to prevent damage to vegetation, soil, and wildlife.
Despite the conservation measures that have been implemented, the forest faces threats related to urban expansion, climate change, invasive species, and uncontrolled tourism. Therefore, it is necessary for institutions, the Pro-Bosque Foundation, and visitors to work together to protect this ecosystem.

Resumen : This project aims to finally give tourism in the Alluriquín parish a planned boost. The main goal is to design promotional strategies that will help the area be seen as a sustainable and serious destination. Alluriquín boasts enviable natural beauty and culture that could significantly improve the local economy. However, there is a real problem: visibility is extremely low, its most beautiful spots are hardly promoted, and local groups are unable to agree on how to work together. Regarding the previous text, an in-depth study was conducted that combined numerical data with direct opinions. Potential visitors were surveyed, and people who are involved in the daily tourism industry in the area were interviewed. The resulting data is very clear: there is enormous interest among the people in developing local tourism. But, at the same time, there is a noticeable lack of effective digital plans. The desire is there, but the tools to showcase the area to the world are still lacking. Consequently, a proposal has emerged that focuses on what is vital today: the digital world and the creation of a unique brand. It's not just about posting photos, but about building an identity that residents feel is their own and that tourists can easily recognize. The goal is for the community to actively participate every step of the way. If these strategies are implemented systematically and with a long-term perspective, the economic and social well-being of Alluriquín will naturally follow, making tourism the driving force the parish needs.
