| dc.description | Las dermatofitosis son producidos por hongos dermatofitos por géneros Microsporum, Tricophytum, Epidermophytum. El presente estudio se realizó en la Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil, con el objetivo de determinar la prevalencia de Dermatofitosis en los felinos. Se recolectó 75 muestras de pelo de gato, que se realizó por medio del diagnóstico de tricograma. Para poder observar las muestras se utilizó reactivo KOH al 10 %, y por medio de un microscopio óptico con un lente de 40x. La prevalencia a Dermatofitos fueron 4 casos positivos a esta enfermedad con un 5.33 %. Los afectados según el sexo fueron 2 machos (2.67 %) y 2 hembras (2.67 %). Se recomienda tener un mayor control en la infección de esta enfermedad, debido a que puede afectar a la piel en los humanos. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Dermatophytoses are an infections caused by fungi dermatophytes of different genders, which affect the keratinized tissues of the skin, hair and nails of animals. The present study was perfomed at the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil, with the objective of determining the prevalence of Dermatophytosis in felines. 75 samples of cat hair were collected which was made by means of trichogram diagnosis. To can observe the samples, used reagent at 10 %, and by means of an optical microscope with a lens of 40x, and by means of an optical microscope with a 40 x lens. The prevalence of Dermatophytes was 4 positive cases to this disease with 5.33 %. Those affected by sex were 2 males (2.67 %) and 2 females (2.67 %). It is recommended to have greater control in the infection of this disease, because it can affect the skin in humans. | en_US |
