Abstract

The following work contains the development of the Park – Library project for Duran city, based on the requirements proposed by the cantonal GAD's entrepreneurship and innovation program. The main objective of the project is to generate participation and interaction among Duran users, as well as to promote lifelong learning and self-learning through comfortable and flexible spaces that adapt to the user's needs and integrate it with the surrounding activities. The project seeks to be formally integrated into the surroundings by means of a set of roofs that simulate the sinuosity of the existing hills, which can be appreciated from the staggered terraces proposed in the project. The project adapts to the park by means of inner courtyards and a circulation axis that crosses the project connecting it with the surrounding equipment.
