Sistema de control de ingresos de visitantes a pacientes hospitalizados – caso de estudio de un hospital de la ciudad de Guayaquil.

Abstract

In health institutions, there are inconveniences when registering visitors who arrive at the hospitalization area to visit patients. Such is the case of the hospital of this study, in which there have been some problems regarding the management of visits, for which a system has been proposed to control the income of visitors to hospitalized patients and provide a better service to the users who come to this hospital center. For this purpose, exploratory and descriptive investigations were used, using the survey of hospitalized family members to gather information from visitors of hospitalized patients about the control of admissions to the hospitalization area, and interviews to the hospital staff from the TIC’s area on the same subject. From the survey it was deduced that, on the control of income, there is no adequate management of it, besides, in general, the time the visitor is with the patient is not controlled; from the interview it was known that there is no system for the control of visitors, and that there have been problems in the hospitalization area because the visitors income is not controlled. It is concluded that there is a need for the implementation of a system to manage visitors and avoid subsequent problems.
