Abstract

“Resiliencia” is a short documentary about the process of overcoming the city of Manta and some victims of the earthquake on April 16, 2016. The structure of the story begins with a brief description of all that comes with resilience in terms of the victims of natural disasters, in the development of this documentary will focus on the protagonists of the story that will tell everything they have lost and how they managed to recover while there are recordings of files that support what the interviewees say and Manta general shoots that show an after the earthquake. On the other hand, we will see the resilience of the city as such, since for many Manta, it has not been resilient, or did not see the opportunity to turn the 16A disaster into an opportunity to improve. In the final part of the documentary the director will give a message of reflection and inspiration to encourage the viewer to overcome any problem of any kind. The documentary will be from the point of view of those affected by the earthquake, likewise, the participation of experts in the area of psychology will play an important role when it comes to uniting with the experiences of the interviewees.
