Abstract

The document below is the product of an academic research whose objective is to provide information on two specific dimensions of cinema according to the development in Sebastian Cordero´s filmography: aesthetics and technique as a contribution to the formation of future film projects that require a practical guide with similar purposes. This study analyzes the technique of the direction of Photography and the aesthetics of cinema that Sebastián Cordero developed during the period from 1999 to 2011. The origins of the Ecuadorian cinema are reviewed in order to have foundations that guide the artistic understanding of the staging, the theme and the appearance of the cinema that the films present as exhibited products. The methodological aspect of this document describes its techniques and instruments from a qualitative perspective and are used for data collection which were systematized and analyzed for their interpretation. The conclusions are established by stages of project execution and the evidence of the process will be found towards the end of the writing along with the references, which are the basis of this investigation.
