Abstract

The present investigation called “Analysis of the Supply Chain and its Impact on the Profitability of the Colgate-Palmolive Company”, was raised with the purpose of carrying out an analysis of the times used in the supply chain and its impact on the logistics processes of the multinational importing ColgatePalmolive, where a qualitative methodology, field and documentary bibliography was applied, where it was possible to determine the factors that produce delays in the distribution of products, among the most common is the lack of knowledge in the thread billing and entry of customer orders. In addition, the absence of a human talent department in Ecuador that can monitor the activities of employees and make improvements corresponding to the problems that may arise during the execution of the processes, mainly logistics that directly affect the image and sales of the company For the preparation of the proposal, a characterization of the processes used in the supply chain was first carried out, through which the standard and real average of the times and variations of the cost that represent the delays at the time of execution of the processes were obtained. Activities, validating the data by observing four work days. Finally, it was established that not only the billing processes should be changed, but that a comprehensive training of the employees was necessary, for which a plan to improve the management of the supply chain processes was designed based on the results obtained that it considers improvements in the billing thread, the creation of a Human Talent department in Ecuador and the evaluation of staff performance.
