Propuesta de rediseño de procesos turísticos para la Hacienda San José en el cantón Babahoyo, provincia de Los Ríos

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to redesign the tourism processes carried out by Hacienda San José, located in Babahoyo, Los Ríos province. The main tools to collect the primary data were observation, surveys and interviews that allow analyze these processes and develop a market study to the tourists that visited the farm, to define their needs and determine the lack of knowledge of the collaborators and their faults regarding the development of tourist activity. A sample of 130 tourists who have visited the place was considered and helped define the preferences in their requirements regarding the type of tourism that’s offered. Finally, in this study we can found some innovative activities which enable contact with nature and allow to interact and experiment the activities that farmers carry out in their daily lives. It was also recommended to train the staff into the development of the tourist activities.
