Estudio de factibilidad para la creación de un Centro de Insuficiencia Renal en el cantón Durán.

Abstract

The general objective of this study was to determine the feasibility for the creation of a renal failure center in the Duran canton. The methodology applied for the development of this research work was quantitative, non-experimental, cross- sectional and descriptive in scope. The investigative tool used was a previously structured survey with closed response options. The main results made it possible to establish that a large proportion of patients undergo hemodialysis in private centers and hospitals outside the city of Durán with a duration between three months onwards with a period of three sessions per week in a range of four to five hours per week. session respectively. The services they receive are generally inadequate, added to the unwelcoming and friendly atmosphere that the establishments present, causing a high degree of dissatisfaction. It was recognized that among the causes for which they would change centers were distance and service. The proposed organizational structure consisted of five collaborators and an investment of $ 86,707.6 was needed, which was financed 50% with own capital and the balance with a financial institution for a five-year term with an interest rate of 9.85%, using the financial appeceament. As a result of feasibility, a NPV of $ 61,378.7 was obtained, to which an average cost of capital of 6.78% and an IRR of 23.4% with a recovery of the investment in three years, four months and 28 days was applied.
