Abstract

This work of titling raises the architectural proposal of a Community Center destined for Monte Sinai, a cooperative located northwest of the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador. The main objective of this project is to offer physical spaces that favour the creation of growth and development opportunities for the inhabitants of the sector. The project is based on the 3-axis approach that determine the activities of the architectural program: integration, culture and educational accompaniment. The architectural proposal is formally composed of 5 volumes with variable heights organized from a typology of central courtyard, which favors the creation of a hierarchical route and the generation of meeting areas that reinforce the community sense of the project. The covers corresponding to the circulation corridors maintain a lower height than the rest, which favors the hierarchy of 5 identical volumes by users. From the central courtyard, the accesses to the different parts of the architectural program are distributed, thus generating a space conducive to encounter, exchange and learning among the community.
