Abstract

Article 240 of the Regulations to the Land Transport, Traffic and Road Safety Law establishes the sanctions that will be applied to drivers who commit traffic violations. The article details the different sanctions that can be imposed, such as fines, discrimination against certain groups in society, such as people with disabilities. Educational inclusion is the process of integrating students with disabilities into the regular education system and guaranteeing their participation on equal terms with other students. This paper analyzes affirmative action policies in inclusive education for children with Down syndrome in Ecuador, to identify best practices and challengesin this area. It examines how these policies can improve the quality of life of people with disabilities, increase their social and educational inclusion, and reduce discrimination.
