Situaciones de violencia en la atención gineco obstétrica en mujeres de la comunidad de San Eduardo.

Abstract

As healthcare becomes more accessible, it is crucial to examine how women may experience different forms of abuse and violence in such an intimate context as OB/GYN care. Objective: Identify situations of violence in obstetric and gynecologic care in women of the San Eduardo community. Methodology: descriptive, quantitative, retrospective, cross-sectional. Population: 51 women from the San Eduardo Community. Technique: Survey, Instrument: Questionnaire of questions from the INEC form. Section 8. Results: Among the gynecobstetric characteristics, women with menarche aged 10 to 13 years (86%), who began their sexual life between the ages of 16 and 18 (78%), who have 3 sexual partners (53%), with more than 3 pregnancies (55%), with more than 3 deliveries (35%) and with abortions (8%). Obstetric violence (82%) and gynecological violence (90%) experienced by the women of this community were highlighted, presenting among them physical violence (98%) and psychological violence (92%). Conclusion: Of the total number of women in the San Eduardo community, it is evident that the majority have experienced gynecobstetric violence, in which they were victims of physical violence and psychological violence, but because they felt ashamed or thought it was normal, they did not inform anyone. about their experiences.
