Abstract

The main objective of this study is to analyze and describe Maersk's logistics efficiency in Ecuador, focusing on the strategies implemented for the opening of markets and the relocation of the port of Guayaquil to Posorja during the period 2019- 2024. The research was conducted using a qualitative methodology that included a comprehensive literature review, interviews with logistics experts, and operational data analysis. The analysis revealed that Maersk has successfully implemented logistics innovations that have significantly improved the efficiency of its operations. The innovations have allowed the company to update digital issues that have allowed logistics to increase the results in profits and in this way the Port of Posorja has benefited from the projects generated in recent years, in the same way, the research also identified several challenges, such as the need for greater investment in infrastructure and adaptation to new environmental regulations. The main conclusions of the study highlight the importance of continuing to innovate and improve logistics processes to maintain competitiveness in the global market. It is recommended that future researchers explore the application of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and automation in the logistics sector, and that government and business authorities promote policies and alliances that support the sustainable development of port infrastructure in Ecuador.
