Nivel de satisfacción de esquemas farmacológicos postoperatorios en pacientes de cirugía clínica integral III A- 2024.

Abstract

Objective: The purpose of this study is to conduct a satisfaction survey on pharmacological treatments for patients attended in the oral surgery area of the dental clinic at the UCSG during the A – 2024 period. Materials and Methods: This is a cross-sectional, observational – descriptive study. The sample size consisted of 60 patients. A questionnaire with 10 questions using rating scales and a Likert scale was developed. Additionally, 6 questions were included to assess other variables of interest. Descriptive statistics were used for analysis. Results: All patients (100%) were “Extremely satisfied” with the results of the prescribed pharmacological treatment for pain. The most frequently prescribed combination among patient was “Ibuprofeno 600 mg + Amoxicillin 500 mg and Clavulanic Acid 125 mg”. The explanation of the diagnosis, treatment, and postoperative instructions were considered satisfactory. Conclusion: The study reveals a high level of satisfaction among patients attended in the oral surgery area at UCSG with the postoperative pharmacological treatments applied, reflecting both the efficacy of the prescribed medications and the quality of care provided by the students.
