| dc.description | El presente trabajo buscará realizar un análisis doctrinario y legal respecto a la ausencia de un marco normativo específico y completo que regule las plataformas digitales de apuestas deportivas en el Ecuador. En este sentido, se analizará la evolución de su regulación a través de la legislación ecuatoriana; la consulta popular del 2011 que se llevó a cabo; los pronunciamientos que se han emitido por diferentes instituciones públicas; y, la evolución de los juegos de azar en la era digital. Enfocaremos nuestro estudio al análisis de las plataformas digitales de apuestas deportivas como una forma del juego de azar, y si esta se encuentra dentro de las prohibiciones emanadas de la consulta popular, además de analizar su regulación de ser el caso. En definitiva, se establecerá que este tipo de juego de azar no mantiene un marco normativo específico ni completo que lo regule. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | This work will carry out a doctrinal and legal analysis regarding the absence of a specific and complete regulatory framework that regulates digital sports betting platforms in Ecuador. In this sense, the evolution of its regulation through Ecuadorian legislation will be analyzed; the 2011 popular consultation that was carried out; the pronouncements that have been issued by different public institutions; and, the evolution of games of chance in the digital age. We will focus our study on the analysis of digital sports betting platforms as a form of gambling, and whether this is within the prohibitions emanating from the popular consultation, in addition to analyzing its regulation if applicable. In short, it will be established that this type of game of chance does not maintain a specific or complete regulatory framework that regulates it. | en_US |
