| dc.description | La infección por Helicobacter pylori es una de las patologías gastrointestinales más prevalentes a nivel mundial, y recientes estudios han sugerido una posible asociación con enfermedades del sistema biliar como la colelitiasis. Esta tesis tuvo como objetivo determinar la correlación entre la infección por H. pylori y la presencia de colelitiasis en pacientes atendidos en el Hospital León Becerra de Milagro entre enero de 2022 y diciembre de 2024. Se realizó un estudio observacional, retrospectivo y descriptivo, utilizando historias clínicas d e 363 pacientes, de los cuales 129 cumplieron los criterios de inclusión. Se aplicaron análisis estadísticos con pruebas de Chi-cuadrado y V de Cramer. Los resultados mostraron que el 68,9 % de los pacientes infectados eran mujeres, y un 15,5 % de ellos también presentaban colelitiasis, hallándose una correlación estadísticamente significativa (p < 0,001) y una asociación fuerte (V de Cramer = 0,615). Además, se observó una alta eficacia (96,9 %) del tratamiento de primera línea para la erradicación de H. pylori. En conclusión, los datos sugieren una relación significativa entre H. pylori y la colelitiasis, lo cual refuerza la necesidad de considerar esta asociación en el enfoque diagnóstico y terapéutico en pacientes con síntomas biliares, así como fomentar más investigaciones al respecto. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Helicobacter pylori infection is one of the most prevalent gastrointestinal pathologies worldwide, recent studies have suggested that there is an association with cholelithiasis. This thesis has as an objective to determine the correlation between H. pylori and the presence of cholelithiasis in patients that were attended the consult in the Leon Becerra Hospital of Milagro between January 2022 and December 2024. This is an observational, retrospective and descriptive study. Using the clinical history of 363 patients in which 129 fulfil the criteria. Then using statistical analysis, it shown that 68.9% were women and 15.5% had cholelithiasis, founding and important statistical association (p<0,001) and strong association (V de cramer = 0,615). Also, it was observed a high efficacy of 96,9% in the first line of eradication therapy for H. pylori. In conclusion, the data sugest a significant relation between H. pylori and cholelithiasis, reenforcing the need of further investigation of this correlation. | en_US |
