Estudio de factibilidad de un centro médico de especialidades cardiovasculares en el sector La Aurora, cantón Daule.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of carrying out a feasibility study for the creation of a cardiovascular specialty medical center in the La Aurora sector, Daule canton. To achieve this objective, a mixed research methodology was used, combining qualitative and quantitative techniques such as surveys and interviews. These were conducted with potential consumers in the La Aurora sector and with medical specialists in cardiology, internal medicine, and intensive care, respectively. The results revealed that the ENDOVASCULAR GROUP cardiovascular specialty medical center would be widely accepted, as there is unmet demand in the area, given that neighborhoods such as Mallorca, La Joya, Napoli, Milán, Villa Club, and Málaga do not have medical centers of this category nearby. In addition, there are a large number of people who have cardiovascular problems and need to undergo periodic checkups every so often, as well as preventive checkups for their family members. Another relevant factor in this study is that, in order to promote the medical center, the ideal approach would be through social media, word-of-mouth marketing, and radio advertising. It is also important to respond promptly to patients and be flexible, taking into account the willingness of local residents to visit the medical center. Finally, a feasibility study was carried out, which verified through the NPV ($465,630.07) and IRR 21.03% that the project is profitable and viable.
