Blood pressure is an essential parameter during anesthetic monitoring in dogs, as it allows assessment of the patient’s hemodynamic status and helps prevent intraoperative complications. The aim of this study was to compare blood pressure measurements obtained using a non-invasive oscillometric method (PANI) and an invasive method (Gold standard) in anesthetized dogs. Ninety-five dogs undergoing elective surgical procedures under general anesthesia were included. Systolic (SAP), diastolic (DAP), and mean arterial pressure (MAP) were recorded at the beginning, during, and at the end of surgery. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC), paired Student’s t-test, and accuracy analysis. The results showed statistically significant differences between both methods (p < 0.05), with moderate agreement for SAP and MAP and low to moderate agreement for DAP. The oscillometric method tended to underestimate blood pressure values compared to the invasive method. It is concluded that the oscillometric method is not fully equivalent to the invasive method; therefore, its results should be interpreted with caution during anesthetic monitoring.en_US
