Conocimiento del tratamiento de tuberculosis pulmonar en usuarios que asisten a un Centro de Salud de la ciudad de Guayaquil.

Abstract

This Project deals with: "On the knowledge of the users of the tuberculosis control program of the objectives, phases, regimen and treatment of tuberculosis, being a problem of great importance in our country, and it is estimated that in Ecuador 8800 new cases of pulmonary TB were diagnosed, according to the OMS in 2013.” General Objective: To determine the knowledge of the treatment in the users of the program of control of the tuberculosis of a health center of the city of Guayaquil. Methodology: Quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional, a survey and direct observation were developed. Results: The health personnel of the tuberculosis control program work on patient education, so users demonstrate knowledge about TB treatment. Discussion and conclusions: Users of the tuberculosis control program at the health center have knowledge about the objectives of tuberculosis treatment; about the phases of the treatment and the approximate time that lasts each one of them.
