Sostenibilidad del uso de la energía hidroeléctrica en la matriz productiva del estado ecuatoriano : impacto socioeconómico en los pueblos aledaños a la hidroeléctrica Mazar-Dudas.

Abstract

This work contains aspects on the Government's projects of eight hydroelectric plants, and the analysis of one of them, Mazar-Dudas hydroelectric, whose purpose is to increase the generation of electric energy to supply domestic consumption at a lower cost and the export of this renewable resource to obtain more Revenues in order to alleviate the crisis of the country caused by the drop in the price of oil. One of the objectives of the analysis was to evaluate the positive and negative socio-economic impacts on the inhabitants and villages surrounding the Mazar-Dudas hydroelectric plant considering the social, economic and environmental aspects of the study. During the development of this topic of titling, it was found that the execution of this project significantly improved the status of local and national citizens, both economically, socially and environmentally, as well as the financial aspect at the government level. For this work titration the theories emitted by several authors were considered, and its methodology is based on research types such as pure and applied, descriptive, exploratory, longitudinal, field and documentary. The method applied is the inductive and the techniques used are observation and survey. It is concluded that the construction of the Mazar-Dudas hydroelectric dam gave benefits to the inhabitants and villages surrounding this work in the social, economic, environmental and state aspects, since it exports electrical energy and earns income for the national treasury.
