Abstract

This document contains the development of the preliminary design for the Municipal Theatre Library Bahía de Caráquez; Manabí's Province - Ecuador; which goes from the critical analysis, the capture of decisions opposite to determining found, the criteria of design opposite to the problematic ones and the result of this process together with the mapping and material of support for the interpretation of the project. The offer reflects a group of spaces that try to recover and to improve the activities of the former Theatre Library, affected by the earthquake of april 16, 2016. Each level of the project adopts uses corresponding to the spatial studied relations, in which concepts apply to themselves bioclimáticos that highlight the name of Bahia de Caraquez eco-city; taking into account the transition of spaces controlled to social spaces and, together with the continuous square-vestibule between streets, try to generate the sense of continuity within its immediate surroundings and project itself as the extension of the urban public space protected by the suspended theatre by means of beams and metal columns.
