Abstract

The present work proposes an effective solution for the access to Internet to the commercial center Alhambra located in km 2 of the route Samborondón - Samborondón. By means of the design of a fiber optic network with GPON technology by the FTTB standard with layer 3 equipment with the main link and back up, the links seek to reduce the intermittent time of the internet to future Subscribers who hire the service offered by the telecommunications company, when the main link has a cut the back-up link can act immediately and thus quickly recover the service. In this way, the performance increase is achieved and, in turn, it reduces the internet connection time to guarantee a quality service for the users and employees of the Alhambra shopping center.
