Abstract

The purpose of this project is to create a company that offers logistics services for tire importers and the transportation companies in Guayaquil with the ultimate objective of creating a logistics network that meets the needs of the importers. In order to achieve this, a business plan was developed in which the benefits to the tire importers were identified. By interviewing various importers in Guayaquil a market study was carried out which identified the importers’ needs in the services they currently receive. In addition a study was initiated to find the best system that would provide and guarantee all the processes that would be required. With that end, a cost analysis was done, the results of which determined the longterm sustainablity and profitiability of the project. As a result, we have created LOGILLANTA Cía. Ltda. which will benefit both the importers and transportation companies alike by offering real time logistics services using the latest technology.
