Complicaciones de las emergencias hipertensivas en el Hospital Universitario de Guayaquil en el año 2016-2017.

Abstract

This is a cross-sectional investigation, of a descriptive type and with a retrospective approach, for which a Database was used with an approximate sample of 107 patients under the ICD-10 I10 and I11 diagnosis, provided by the Department of Statistics of the University Hospital of Guayaquil in the period 2016 to 2017 where it was concluded that the most frequent complication was acute renal failure. The highest rate of mortality to cerebral hemorrhage and finally it was observed that the most effective medication was the combination of losartan + nifedipine during a hypertensive emergency when comparing the mortality rate of the study group with the antihypertensive treatment used.
