Abstract

This Dossier contains the development of the architectural proposal: “Durán Public Library”, which aims to empower the community with the creation of a cultural facility where they can experience greater coexistence. It is based on the premise that transparency generates community, and mechanisms are applied to achieve it: with a spatial configuration that fuses the equipment with the park in which it is located forming a continuous public space to be used by users of all kinds; through the incorporation of permeable walls and the optimization of accessibility. Because of its location, connectivity and need, this project has the potential to become a landmark in the city and to function as a catalyst for its surroundings.
