Diseño e implementación de un prototipo de plataforma virtual para los trámites estudiantiles de la Facultad de Ingeniería de la Universidad Católica Santiago de Guayaquil.

Abstract

The aim of this degree work was to design, for its subsequent implementation, a virtual platform prototype that facilitated the management of student procedures for the Faculty of Engineering of the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil; This research was carried out with a quantitative approach, given that it was important to know the specific data on the opinion of a sample of 100 students regarding the procedures requested and the results obtained; did not have any other qualitative method than the bus that establishes a description of the processes that intervene in the student procedures and the needs to optimize them, everything that is, the research, the character of non-experimental, descriptive transactional. As a result, it was possible to identify the critical procedures and it was possible to design a flexible and scalable prototype adapted to the guidelines established by the same educational institution that benefits from this product; This prototype allows the generation of requests, consultation of the status of the procedure, verification of the history of procedures, download of the final document. When this prototype is in a test environment, it is confirmed that the proposed solution reduces the operational load in different ways, a reduction in the use of paper, information for the time for an effective decision making.
