Análisis de IMS sobre una red de telefonía fija.

Abstract

In the present work, the elements of the network that make up the IMS platform (IP Multimedia Subsystem) and how it interacts through the SIP protocol (Session Initiation Protocol) with other existing platforms such as the NGN are detailed in order to maintain the high levels of QoS (Quality of service) also shows the way in which calls are linked within the different layers that interact within this new platform. It is indicated in detail how this new platform integrates the different IP services and how it will help maintain reasonable prices and exercise healthy competition with the companies that integrate their services to IMS. The fundamentals on which the IMS is based, the operation of this Platform, interaction with other platforms and some examples of its use are taught in detail. It will analyze the call traffic handled by the NGN as well as the nodes and exchanges that currently operate under this platform and the benefit that will be obtained when migrating them to IMS.
