Abstract

The following document contains the preliminary design of a park - library in the La Ferroviaria sector in the Cantón Durán, whose purpose is to create a space for interaction between the users of the park and those of the library through the positioning of the spaces, and thus generating a link that will help promote reading and research. This creates spaces within the library that function as a continuity of the public space and create flexible and stimulating environments for the user. The use of terraces and double heights give the sensation of amplitude and potentiate this bond. Given the high social and cultural value that the library would have, it could become a milestone in the city and an engine of social cohesion within the community
