Abstract

This document contains the preparation of the Durán Public Library project, required by the Durán Municipal Government, whose objective is the creation of a space for meeting, participation and exchange of cultural and recreational activities, accessible to any type of user. The project consists in two separate volumes, located in the center of the land allowing the building to be freely traveled between (potentiating existing community pathways) and around it, integrating the interior and exterior space, promoting the use of the library at different times of the day. The distribution of the spaces around this "central path" that is generated between the volumes, allows that all the areas related to each other, besides functioning as a point of convergence between the possible routes of the users. Thus promoting the development of the infinite library; since the activities carried out within the library can be conformed in a process that is repeated, that has its beginning and end in the center of the building, generating a fluid journey through all the areas of the project.
