Del trastorno al síntoma, estudio diferencial entre el trastorno mental y el síntoma psicoanalítico.

Abstract

The persistent confusion between the psychoanalyst and the psychiatrist work will be a recurrent topic both in the cultural field and health field, witnessing this important and great confusion this research will have as a cardinal point the aim of polishing two basic concepts of both disciplines: the symptom concept in psychoanalysis and the disorder in psychiatry concept. On the other hand, knowing the difference of both concepts is crucial for the health professional of any specialty, since both concepts have different approaches and treatments for the subject. The bibliographic analysis will be the indispensable tool that this research will have since it will look for writings that are sometimes old as well as current; after the writing of a consistent and compact theoretical framework, the results will be showed in which we will analyze the similarities and differences of the mentioned concepts. Lastly, to finish our investigation we will expose two cases seen from the psychoanalytic point of view and also from the psychiatric point of view, this last will help to verify the theory and in turn will give more consistency to this investigation. In this way you can clearly see the similarities and differences between concepts of both disciplines and not only that, but also appreciate the approach and treatment given by each discipline to the subject, helping to reduce the confusion between both disciplines.
