Diseño de un área de especialidad infantil en el Instituto de Seguridad Social de la ciudad de Babahoyo.

Abstract

The present work is developed with the purpose of creating a proposal for the implementation of a child specialty area in the IESS of Babahoyo, which complements the primary health care provided by the institution to citizens of the province. The specific objective of this work is to solve the primary need of the city and province of Los Ríos, to have an exclusive space for medical specialties for children, that this meets the demands of users and special services to the childrens. The demand for treatment of specialties in infants is increasing and this causes the transfer of people to the city of Guayaquil, to complement this work. It has proceeded to make an approach to the problem that allows to show the causes and consequences that are generated by not having an area of children's specialties that allows to complement primary health care in children. In the same way, the theoretical framework was carried out in which the research work was supported through research and theories. Finally, a work methodology was applied that established the guidelines used for the data collection and that allows to validate the decision making of the proposal. This way it was possible to conclude that with the implementation of an area of health specialties in the IESS for neonates, boys and girls of the Province of Los Ríos and of the city of Babahoyo, it will allow the attention of minor patients with different diseases and reduce the number of patients to be transferred to other cities to be able to carry out their treatment.
