Diseño de un plan de seguridad para las zonas turísticas del destino Manta.

Abstract

This research raises the “Design of a security plan for the turistic areas of Manta”, since the city has positioned itself as a Sun and Beach destiny, living a tourist enhancement. However, natural and hand-made risks existing in Manta and moreover, poor security meassures in the public and private area, are having a negative impact on the improvement of the city. To be able to carried out this research, the following tools were implemented: the use of interviews to public entities, the observation of the conditions in which the tourist destinations are, surveys to tourists, and finally the analysis of the “SOTW”, to study the weaknesses, strenghts, opportunities, and threats found in the touristic areas of Manta, with the purpose of creating strategies to transform manta in a competitive, sustainable, and safe city.
