Abstract

The higher demand each year increases considerably, at the Santiago de Guayaquil Catholic University, 7.9% of the campus is directed to educational buildings distributed in a portion of the macrolote of the University being the largest percentage and main objective of the institution whose demand has been exceeded to the original planned in response to this arises the proposal of an extension of the basic activities of the different faculties concentrated in the same building. The building of academic services (Building XO) responds to this need, expresses the duality of space, with the intention of creating full and empty where important activities within the project will be carried out, highlighting the contrasts that may exist between different elements such as materiality of space, the coldness of the concrete combined with the warm yellow of the panelería.Este academic services building welcomes its strategic location and proposes an organized planning becoming an area of high utility for the university community being a provider of spaces of different academic uses .
