Rediseño del campus de la UCSG.

Abstract

The present project is elaborated with the purpose of showing the preliminary urban analysis of the campus of the Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil, to identify problems and posible solutions. With all of these it’s shown an organized proposal in different phases according to the area that’s going to be intervened, being the redesign of the common areas promoting interaction and the mobility of the university community, the main cores. An integral intervention model is proposed, which is based on realizing two actions: to identify the areas with greater potential for the proposal, the design and the transformation of the chosen spaces. The intention is that the transformation of these common spaces could produce areas that would generate opportunities of an encounter for people. In conclusion, we must say that this investigation is to encourage the recovery and the adequacy of the areas already stablished on the campus through the implementation of universal design strategies and sustainability criteria that respect the balance between the users and the environment.
