Evaluación de los indicadores de productividad y rentabilidad de la industria alimenticia en la ciudad de Guayaquil.

Abstract

In the present research project, we perform the analysis of indicators of productivity and profitability of the companies of the manufacturing sector in the city of Guayaquil. In the Methodology used in the indicators of productivity and profitability of the 118 companies that are dedicated to the indicated sector, for what an applied, quantitative and deductive research is carried out with the use of Discriminant Analysis. As a result, we can see in the Kolmogorov-Smirnov statistic that the statistic and the number of observations in all the indicators with respect to the other year the statistic is below the allowed range, in the box test can verify that the contrast statistic is greater than the significant level and the F value of Snedecor and P-value are significant which allows rejecting the null hypothesis which means that there are no differences between the covariance matrices of the Companies analyzed for the study, linearity and multicollinearity will not be reviewed for the descriptive analysis, for the selection of the variables the distance D2 of Mahalanobis was used and with these results the discriminant functions of the different indicators are calculated which resulted in the results were excellent generating a type 1 error of 99.2% and a type II error of 93.2% for an effective classify 84.4% so the reliability is good to predict future behaviors of the indicators. In conclusion we can say that the model has a good effectiveness in the classification of the indicators analyzed. In the original sample, the perception of the model in five years of study as a total average of classification of 100% of the companies.
