Abstract

The present investigation was made with the purpose of analyzing the feasibility of export of wooden furniture, to the city of Miami, USA. UU., Because it represents an interesting market opportunity, the same that is based on the high purchasing power that the inhabitants of this city have, and in the same way, considering that there has been an important growth of exports of this item towards The target market. The United States is Ecuador's most important trading partner, and its products are covered by a Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) that allows access to this country, without paying a fee. On the other hand, to obtain data on the potential market, a digital survey was carried out using the Google platform, in which the opinion of 381 people who were quite interested in acquiring the product was analyzed. This is how an export plan was designed where aspects such as: environment analysis, business description, marketing plan, operations plan were taken into account; and finally, in terms of financial resources, it was determined that the initial investment corresponds to $ 66 thousand, of which $ 30 thousand correspond to the company's own funds, and the difference will be financed through a bank loan. At the time of making the profitability analysis it was determined that the project is viable because the IRR of the project was 50%, while the IRR of the investor threw 65%, both values above the discount rate.
