Análisis de inversión en las TIC y su relación con la productividad en las Pymes del sector textil a nivel nacional.

Abstract

The textile sector in the Ecuador is an industry that is constantly growing. Companies in this sector are looking to be more productive in the business. Productivity is one of the most important aspects of many companies in order to achieve improved competitiveness in the industry. In order to determine it is necessary to involve many factors that give us information appropriate to their achievement. The use of information and communication technologies has been a binding theme for business development. The present research work presents the level of investment in machinery and equipment and the level of investment in software and computer equipment as variables to measure productivity in companies. The following research question: investment and the use of ICTs establish an improvement in the productivity of SMEs in the textile sector at the national level both in its production and marketing processes? The question is answered based on an empirical model that generate results that eventually involve these variables to measure productivity through inferential statistics with a correlation and multiple linear regression analysis. In addition to the established model which gives details of the behavior of productivity using the variables of study also is crucial to make other similar research using additional aspects such as training of human talent, increase of capital, organizational culture among others that provide better results regarding this subject.
