Abstract

The present work consisted of expanding the clinical study of the neurotic structure with a hysterical modality from a clinical case, with the particularity of being the patient, a man. Taking the psychoanalytic optics as a reference and through the clinical method, the case was addressed, giving account of the particular way in which the subject has been structured against castration and the way he has found to make the defense present. The remarkable thing about the work is the development of the ghost, and the symptom to generate satisfaction, and continuous discomfort in the life of the subject. The title of the case refers to a phrase that evokes the symptom of the subject, around his desire for dissatisfaction. The subject constantly repeats "I am in limbo" referring to his impossibility in the sexual act, and referring to other ways in which it is considered a failure. Thus, Esteban is in a constant dilemma, in which he is unable and unsuccessful, both at work and in his sentimental life.
