Abstract

The following work corresponds to the elaboration of a clinical case analysis based on psychoanalytic theory. This analysis is based on Berta, a forty-yearold woman, married and with children, who goes to analysis for the difficulties that arise in the management of their children. Later she can elaborate her true demand, which starts from her discomfort with the identification that others make with her mother, a socially aggressive woman, whom she rejected for her hostility, but from which she later reflects on her motherhood, becoming the unbearable mother she couldn't stand herself. Berta was surrounded by successful people since her childhood, and presents a need for approval of her actions; she asks the question ¿what does the other want from me?, very common in hysterical neurosis. From the analysis, a structural diagnosis will be reached, working on important aspects such as: interpretation of the symptoms, way of responding to her desire and modality of enjoyment.
