Plataforma Web para el desarrollo de concursos de investigación “UCSG Investiga” del Instituto de subsistemas de Investigación y Desarrollo (SINDE) de la Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil.

Abstract

The objective of the project is to build a website that optimises administration and allows decision making, for the competition of "UCSG INVESTIGA", designing a computer solution that facilitates the management and administration of the process, so that users and interested persons can know the winning projects, also allows the system administrator to know the statistical indexes of the competition. The research is of a qualitative, descriptive and field type. For the collection and collection of information, interviews were conducted with the directors of the SINDE, where it was known how the process of management and administration is carried out. With the information obtained, a web platform was created to serve as a support tool for the management and administration of the process, using open source web technologies for the frontend, bootstrap and for the backend, PHP with a framework (framework) Laravel and MySQL database, applied on a web server so that it can be consumed from any client. In addition, a responsive design was used for the layout of interfaces under the Desktop First to Mobile First philosophy using web technologies such as Html5, Css3, JavaScript and Mediaqueries. Finally, the web platform was developed taking all these considerations that improve the current process of participation of the UCSG-Investiga contest.
