Caracterización de los estereotipos de género de los y las adolescentes de una unidad educativa de la ciudad de Guayaquil.

Abstract

This research study on gender stereotypes is a response to the concern of the invisibility of the content of socio-cultural constructions of gender stereotypes that are used naturally and are part of everyday life, contents that are based on patterns of inequality and inequality, which promote the relations of inequality between the feminine and masculine gender, specifically between the adolescents who absorb as sponge all these sociocultural constructions with which they manage their interpersonal relationships, so this work has the purpose of identifying in the perceptions and daily activities of the adolescents of an educational unit of the city of Guayaquil, those gender beliefs based on inequitable patterns. As a result, gender stereotypes are characterized by having a foundation from an androcentric and patriarch ideology, which subordinates to the female gender, are naturalized in adolescents, are instinctively reproduced, although adolescents assert that both men and women are and They must be the same in society. It is recommended that in the educational units through the DECE - Social Work an awareness is created about the importance of the eradication of any sociocultural construction that subordinates and devalues the human being and a socio-educational work is carried out, which contributes to a harmonious educational community and of peace, based on respect for the rights of the other.
