Percepciones sobre el femicidio en estudiantes de una Unidad Educativa Superior en la ciudad de Guayaquil.

Abstract

The aim of the present investigation is to know the perceptions of the young people in a private educational institution, related to one of the most common social problems in the country; it is about the femicide. The aim is to analyze and identify what the young people know about this topic in two faculties, in Faculty of Humanities and Faculty of Technical sciences. We could know and compare the different perceptions of femicidy. This investigation will have the following objectives: to know what the students think about being men and women as well as identifying the gender stereotypes based on sexist ideology that could lead to the femicide and what is the perception that prevail in women and men in both careers. To achieve these objectives, we will apply a mixed approach, with the participation of young people of this private educational institution. The best techniques will be a focus group and a survey which measure the femicide, it is called ASI. In this way, the femicide will be approached. Among the main findings of the applied techniques is the high level of sexism that exists in young people in the technical faculty and that the problem of Femicide is not seen as a social construction response.
