Estudio de factibilidad para la aplicación de modelos tecnológicos que mejoran la productividad en la agricultura.

Abstract

The present study was aimed at determining the feasibility in the application of technological models that allow improving productivity in agriculture, focusing on coffee within the province of Manabí, being a specialized area in this product. Among the problems or limitations that agriculture crosses in this area is the lack of investment and ignorance of modern technologies, which allow to achieve a better crop yield, helping to prevent or minimize the risk with respect to pests, diseases and losses of production by cultural work without planning. This has caused that within the province there is a progressive loss of productivity impacting the income that farmers receive. Among the technological models studied are drones, which contribute to the planning of planting and monitoring of crops in order to optimally schedule cultural work such as fertilization, pruning, harvesting, identification and early treatment of pests, as well as diseases that can damage coffee plantations, thus ensuring the proper development of such plantations. To this model the sensors of the crop were added for the measurement of the humidity levels of the soil and to program the irrigation works, finishing with the penetrometers to evaluate the compaction of the land and identify which areas require a greater tillage for the normal growth of the coffee plantations After the financial projection made, considering the current situation of the selected producer, the economic feasibility of the proposal was demonstrated, thus recommending its implementation as a way to contribute to its economic development.
