Factores que inciden en la producción agrícola en la provincia de Santa Elena y propuesta de un modelo de inversión.

Abstract

The general objective of this research is to determine the factors that affect agricultural production in the Province of Santa Elena; as well as identifying its agricultural / technical reality and assessing the financial feasibility of an agricultural production investment model through the investment trust in order to achieve a highly significant development in production, price, quality and competitiveness. In order to meet the aforementioned objectives, this work was focused on field research, visits were made to the Shambala hacienda, “El Azúcar” Commune, surveys and interviews with the validation of experts in the subject were applied, to present the proposal of investment According to the research carried out, critical elements of the agricultural production system were identified, such as: land, water and labor, due to the limited economic, social and public policy development of the province of Santa Elena. According to the results obtained, it is proposed to propose an investment model for an effective irrigation system to improve agricultural production, the creation of a trust in charge of raising the investment funds for the project is proposed. Finally, the financial analysis of the proposed investment model is implemented, establishing that, once the commercialization of the crops produced is carried out, positive economic results will be obtained; improving the price and quality of the product, through the optimization of land use; and, leaving as an investment a long-term irrigation system.
