Abstract

This project consists of the architectural proposal for a Student Residence Building, located in the campus of the Polytechnic University of the Coast, Espol. If you propose a building accessible from a public space, located in front of a lake and that links the user with it. In addition, housing modules for foreign students and teachers are proposed, this is developed through common spaces that affect the multicultural relationship and the social encounter. The project has 2 different architectural programs: Residential and administrative, so it is proposed to make 4 fragmented volumes related to each other through entrance squares, which will be the roots of it. The project is distributed in such a way that the most private spaces are located in the highest part of the land and the most public in the rear, intermediate and front of the volumes made up of park, plaza and boardwalk. The building seeks to achieve the sensation of bievendida and at the same time allow the relationship from the beginning to the end with the natural and the artificial.
