Efecto de polímeros de Quebracho Colorado (Schinopsis lorentzii) sobre los parámetros productivos de pollos de engorde.

Abstract

In the present study the effects of the polymers of the Quebracho Colorado (Schinopsis lorenztii), which is the extract of a tree of the same name, on the productive parameters in broilers; which could replace the antibiotic growth promoter but without generating bacterial resistance for the broiler since it is a natural product. The study was carried out in a farm in the Las Palmas sector of the province of El Oro; For this investigation, a batch of 120 chicks of the Cobb 500 genetic line was used, which were divided into two groups randomly in which one group was administered the dose of the natural product at week 1 and the other group had a Control treatment with antibiotic growth promoter. The purpose of the work was to relate the parameters that were evaluated and establish the mortality rate of each group and indicate the cost-benefit ratio of the product under test. The results show us that there are no significant differences between the parameters of both groups, but if it has a profit or economic benefit using the natural product, since it generates more income for the producer.
