Eficacia del sistema adhesivo previo a la colocación de sellantes de fosas-fisuras. Revisión Literaria.

Abstract

Introduction: Adhesive systems or agents have evolved through several generations with chemical changes in their compounds, simplification of steps and different application techniques for better clinical effectiveness. Which led many operators to use the bonding agent as an intermediate layer between tooth enamel and sealant. Thus providing a better bond strength, reduction of microfiltration and fluidity of the material in the mouth. Objective: Analyze the effectiveness of the adhesive system previous to the placement of pit and fissure sealants. Materials and methods: This present work corresponds to a systematic review study with a qualitative, descriptive, non-experimental approach and retrospective-cross section. There was a sample of 31 scientific articles which could be carried out through access to the UCSG virtual library and other reliable and viable sources such as pubmed, scielo, cochrane library, etc., and the escopus bibliometric search engine. Results-Discussion: Adhesive systems were shown to have positive effects as an intermediate layer between tooth enamel and sealant, which provided greater longevity of the material in the mouth. Conclusion: Adhesive agents or systems as an intermediate link between the sealant and the enamel, reflect a high rate of success and efficiency by guaranteeing greater retention, less microfiltration and better fluidity of the material. Thus providing a greater longevity of the resinous material in the mouth.
