Résumé: Introduction: Ceramic laminates are a good rehabilitation alternative for the anterior sector and could be very conservative according to the type of preparation, type of milling cutter and type of guide used, through which less enamel wear can be obtained as a result. Objective: To measure the level of knowledge of dental preparations for ceramic veneers of UCSG graduate’s semester A-B 2018-2019. Materials and methods: A quantitative approach study of prospective, transversal type with a descriptive design was carried out. Results: The universe was comprised of 150 graduates between the period A and B 2018-2019. The age range that presented greater was 24 years with a 35%, greater predominance for the female 83 women (71.6%) and 33 men (28.4%). Dental preparation in "feather" type 52.6% minimum average with 23.3% was the most chosen. The chamfer strawberry presented a 64.7% of choice, the light chamfer strawberry thick gain with 42.2%, light chamfer strawberry fine gain 35.3%, fine grain shoulder strawberry 22.4% chamfer strawberry thick grain 21.6%. 87.1% for the vestibular silicone key in the form of a notepad, 18.1% for the temporary pre-evaluation aesthetic ATP technique, and only 0.9% for the first-fit system. The most used line of termination by graduates is the chamfer with 60.3% and deep chamfer 5.2%. Wear with vestibular orientation - proximal from 0.3 mm to 0.5 mm and incisal up to 1 mm was the most preferred with 56.9%.Conclusion: The type of dental preparation in "pen" type or with incisal reduction and the wear used with vestibular orientation - proximal from 0.3 mm to 0.5 mm and incisal up to 1 mm - was the one that showed more predilection in the survey, but it did not agree with the investigated articles. In relation to the drills used, the types of guidance and the line of termination, the data suggest that they were significant based on the research of other authors.
