Abstract

Introduction: Immediate dentin sealing plays a very important role in adhesive dentistry, it plays a fundamental role when making indie restorations, it consists in the application of a filling with an uniform filling around the freshly cut dentin once the preparation is finished. Purpose: The objective of this research was to analyze the effectiveness of immediate dentin sealing, to better understand the importance. Materials and methods: This research has a qualitative retrospective approach with a descriptive design. The study was based on the analysis of 30 articles that were obtained by searching Pubmed, ProQues, Google Scholar. Results: Based on the analysis of the articles, it was possible to demonstrate that the dentin sealing is highly effective, if it is done before the impression taking, it should be done with an adhesive with nano-filler, the most suggested based on the Literature is optibond fl, waterproofing the dentin will decrease sensitivity, protect the dentin pulp organ, and considerably improve adhesion. Conclusions: To conclude, the immediate use of the dentin sealing increases effectiveness by improving benefits of protection, hyposensitivity and adhesion. , which must be considered when making indirect restorations.
