Percepción en los usuarios del servicio veterinario en el CAV de la UCSG del problema de salud ocasionado por la toxoplasmosis y sus medios de contagio.

Abstract

Toxoplasmosis is a zoonotic disease of parasitic origin that has a high incidence in humans and on many occasions it is related to the minimal knowledge of the risk of contracting the disease, so the proper sanitary measures are not taken to avoid contagion, this research It will be carried out through a survey to determine the perception that users who attend the veterinary service in the CAV of UCSG have of the health problem caused by toxoplasmosis and its means of contagion. The criteria on what toxoplasmosis is and represents, means and routes of contagion, the sanitary measures adopted for the management of pets at home, will also be identified the characteristics of sanitary management of pets and frequent symptoms observed in them and the evaluated criteria will be related to the degree of preparation, sex, age and sector of the respondents, a file that is designed in three blocks will also be used, the first block will allow collecting the personal data of the individual surveyed, the second block will collect the information on the knowledge that the respondents have about what toxoplasmosis is and its means of contagion and the third block will allow the collection of information regarding risk factors associated with the disease, likewise a list of questions will be used to evaluate the level of knowledge, interest and measures to take in the case of a possible toxoplasmosis.
